DIA proteomics has evolved considerably in recent years. DIA now allows fast and sensitive proteomic profiling of large-scale experiments and is the technology of choice for a wide range of applications. Still, the full potential of DIA remains unrealised. Here I will discuss how recent technological developments address the limitations of DIA and promise a further transformative boost in speed, sensitivity and accessibility of proteomics, enabling new applications.
